Occupational Therapist

 Our occupational therapists has helped patients with a wide variety of physical conditions and disabilities. You might think that simply going to work every day or undertaking day to day activities is easy, but for many people it can be a challenge. We work with our patients to help them overcome their challenges and reach all of their goals. 

 

Occupational Therapists (OTs) also help people with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities to live full lives by using adaptive equipment, teaching life skills and strategies, increasing self care abilities and offering a support system through case management. Occupational Therapy services are available to clients who live both in long term care settings as well as in their own homes.

Psychologist

The psychologist can help support those managing chronic pain, disability or health concerns, with a focus on increasing their level of functioning in their daily lives.

Speech Pathologist

 Speech pathologists are dedicated to studying, diagnosing, and treating individuals who have difficulty speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering, swallowing, and using their voice.

  

Our Speech pathologist is empathic and enthusiastic, passionate about working with clients of all ages. The speech pathologist supports people to have an improved quality of life through patient- centred care. The ability to communicate is a fundamental human right that we can feel privileged to achieve with our clients.

Some of the areas of particular interest are in:


  • Speech and language delay and disorders.
  • Dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and Aphasia (communication difficulties due to strokes or traumatic brain injury) 
  •  Speech and language difficulties due to neurological disorders such as Parkinson, Dementia and Motor Neuron Disease (MND)

 Our Exercise Physiologist has helped patients with a wide variety of physical conditions and disabilities. They have the skill set to prescribe exercises and challenge your abilities in the session which prevents you from getting adapted to physical activity that you are accustomed to. Exercise physiologist work with you to optimise your overall health, fitness levels and conditioning yourself while taking into account safety issues as well.

Allied Health/ Therapy Assistants

Our Allied Health Assistants play a crucial role in supporting allied health professionals in providing goal-based therapy for clients. They work closely with patients, providing hands-on care and assistance, as well as offering guidance and motivation to help patients successfully complete specific treatment plans aimed at addressing physical issues resulting from injury, illness, or disability. This can involve a range of tasks, such as helping patients with exercises, assisting with mobility, and providing emotional support throughout the treatment process.
